Finally a Break
I noticed I haven’t been blogging nearly as much as usual, but it hasn’t been because of a lack of things to talk about. In fact, I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to sit down and collect my thoughts. Last week was an especially hectic one, full of deadlines, and stress. Fortunately, everything worked out at the 11th hour, and so far this week has been busy, but enjoyable.
A lot of the new stuff going on with me right now involves the web in some way. First off, Sea Slugs! is doing better than I ever imagined it would, and is getting triple digit hits a day now. Most of the people visiting the site are repeat offenders, and know what they’re getting in to, but to those who were searching for Winry, Mithra, and Roy marrying Hawkeye pr0n, I apologize. That’s just not what the site is about. The newest season of anime is upon us, so there is new excitement about what series to watch, and which will be winners and which will not be worth our time.
Also, yesterday I got a side gig working on a webpage for an owner of a floorcloth/framing/prints gallery/store. Her work is magnificent, but her current webpage is… not. Basically it’s a placeholder after her last one got lost in a webspace shuffle. I think the job should be fun, because her work is excellent and she is just looking for a clean, simple, attractive site.
I finally received my new digital camera yesterday, and I have been playing around with it. Overall I’m extremely pleased with it. It seems to take excellent picture with great redeye control. It was a great deal smaller than I thought it would be; it easily fits in the palm of my hand. The only bad thing I can think of so far is that some of the little doors and coverings of the ports seem a bit flimsy. I look forward to uploading some cool pics soon!
At some point, I need to upload some more FFXI caps. And finish that damned Azumanga fanart!
I have a feeling today is going to be an awesome day. The weather is supposed to be sunny in the 70’s, and Bunky & I are celebrating 4 (FOUR!) years together. I’m taking a half day, and we’re going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (hopefully) today. Neither of us has been there yet, but even avid gamers and busy law students have to take time out to enjoy the weather!
